Nasirul Islam , PT, PhD

I feel proud of myself when I see that my work has a great impact on the quality of life of my patients. Being a human with having great empathetic insight, my inspiration lies within the success of work. I work with hard work, determination, knowledge, experience, emotion, clinical and research skills. I believe that every patient is unique considering age, gender, co-morbidities, experience, pathology, lifestyle, and self-efficacy despite presenting with similar clinical problems. Understanding this phenomenon and establishing a comprehensive clinical algorithm is my passion.

My goal is to make my patients happy with my professional competency, attitude, and great caring skill. I completed my bachelor’s degree in physical therapy (University of Dhaka), a master’s degree in public health (North South University), and a Ph.D. degree (Jahangirnagar University). In my research, I critically examined how clinical problems become complex when it turns to chronic and what approaches to undertake to solve those complex clinical problems. I worked as a clinician, academician (Associate Professor), researcher, manager (Principal/Head of a college), and professional leader (President of the national physiotherapy association), in Bangladesh for more than 17 years and I feel that I bring those skills into my clinical practice in Canada.

I joined Raynen Therapies in March 2021, and have been successfully managing cases with neuromuscular, musculoskeletal disorders, sports injuries, and post-concussion syndrome.
